O, for a Muse of fire, that would ascend
The brightest heaven of invention;
A kingdom for a stage, princes to act
and monarchs to behold the swelling scene!– Henry V, Prologue. William Shakespeare
This is a story of words written centuries ago that still have the power to speak to our souls and portray our world.
Henry V was the heart of this trip. Beautiful, marvellous. Shakespeare never lets you down, and this was a remarkable and brilliant production. Words that will never die, and I had never been so excited and happy. Jude Law was sublime, as the whole cast.
It’s also a story of rain and sun; of time fleeting away; of getting lost and discovering little treasures; of things well known and other that were completely unexpected. As Cecil Court, found out by chance, it was love at first sight; or Golden Square, a small and peaceful oasis just a few minute walk from the hectic Regent Street. Passing by Trafalgar Square during the celebrations for the Chinese New Year and see it with colourful decorations. Taking a stroll along South Bank, one of my little pleasures when in London, or the usual visit to Notting Hill and the über famous Portobello market.
London is always a little adventure for me. It’s magical, it’s feeling at home yet being mesmerized by what I would define it’s “neat chaos”. This time it was no different: another adventure to add to my list, other places and stories discovered, others just revisited under variant lights.
I’m hopelessly in love with this city and its thousands stories, and my photos cannot tell but just tiny bits of them. Click after click they are slowing forming my own personal story of London, a story that I’m sure still has many chapters left to write.
