The alarm clock goes off at 6:00 am. It’s still dark, but not completely: stars are less bright, and the shade of blue in the sky is becoming lighter. The air is crisp, and brings the birds’ hymns to dawn.
This looks like the first lines of one of those fairy tales that we used to listen to when we were children, with sleepy but curious eyes, and that filled our dreams with fabulous and magical adventures. I like to believe that every new day is a unique adventure, even if 99% of chances are that you’ll end up living the same old routine .
When spring peeps in, and days become more luminous, it’s easier to believe in that 1%. It could be the big break you’ve been waiting for your entire life (possible, but improbable 😉 ); more simply, you could go out in the garden and discover a small bunch of snowdrops in full bloom. Everything in the garden is still bare, but you can feel the energy of nature that will soon explode in all her splendour. These small candid pearls hold the essence of both winter and spring, unite the opposites: they sprout when it’s still cold and defy snow; their flowers, all the more disarmingly beautiful as simple, blend in with the icy crystals.
Awe and wonder for every new spring, every new season, month, day. Nature, ever-changing in her eternal and immutable cycle, is a great teacher when it comes to a routine that is never the same.
And you, what will be your adventure today?
