The beauty of the journey is leaving, discovering new horizons and forgetting for a brief period of time your daily life and reassuring habits.
Then you come back, September and autumn are just around the corner, with good resolutions spinning in your head and that will soon be swallowed by usual frenzies.
But something remains of that journey, and it’s not only the photographs. Your vision expanded; landscapes, people, and the unexpected fascinated and seduced you; you took your time to get lost, wander, go astray, come back to the same place once or even twice to look at it from another point of view; you learnt new habits, and mixed them with your old ones.
You are changed.
I’m now back from my summer journey; a long pause dedicated to explore other countries, and to look around myself (sometimes even only from my computer at home) and cultivate inspiration and new ideas.
The beauty of the journey, after all, is also coming back.
