It’s no secret that I love the South of France and travel there as often as I can. I am charmed by those places, the people, with their special allure, the light and the vibrant colours that seduced so many painters of the past. Two months have gone by since my last trip to London. On the desk, right beside me, “Virginia Woolf. Art, Life and Vision” is patiently waiting to be read. My photographs too, are patiently waiting after being chosen and organized.

It’s dark outside, and a storm is brewing. From the window that I left ajar a crisp breeze is coming in, the first signs of the approaching autumn. But as soon as I think back to my trip to the French Riviera, and look at some photos, I find myself there again exploring those places. Beside my laptop there’s a book by Jean Giono, La Chasse au Bonheur, the quest for happiness, that accompanied my holidays.
