Holidays are made for travelling and during the Easter break I got the chance again to prepare my luggage, jump on a train and discover a bit more of this world. This time my destination was Rome.
I had been to Rome before, so I already knew most of the city and its most famous monuments and buildings. My trip now was more of a relaxed stroll around, and mostly dedicated to museums and art exhibitions. (altro…)
Last Sunday I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with Always Me owner Francesca.
Always Me is a small and cosy lab in Rivoli (Torino), where Francesca pours all her love for simple and genuine food into her sweet creations. The moment you step into her little realm, you are seduced and captured by her enthusiasm and the delicate smells permeating the room. (altro…)
No more waiting, eventually I had my first film developed. I opened the pack from the lab with a mixture of excitement and worry, having no idea of the result, and then I started looking at the photos one by one. Some shots were vivid in my mind as if I had just captured the, some others have almost been a surprise. More than a few mistakes, and others are exactly as I had imagined them.
I love black and white, it’s textures, the grain, the imperfection of every single image that makes it unique.
I can’t wait to continue this adventure into the analog, it’s a path to (re)discover, and my Leica is there waiting for a new film.
