Some instants are immensely precious, small enchanting and magical gems, that one after the other, patiently and with time, create that jewel called life.
Awakening in the morning and discovering the usual landscape all covered with a delicate layer of snow when looking out of the window: this makes me extremely happy.
We spend so much of our lives running and rushing to do as many things as possible in the shortest amount of time; everything must have a definite purpose, and snow, well, that’s only a big nuisance: traffic will slow down, roads will be dirty and more dangerous because of possible ice if temperatures suddenly drop.
I don’ t care if I’ll have to drive slower and pay more attention than usual, and I don’t care if I have to leave earlier. This moment is unique, special, and all mine. I like to leave reason aside and look at the world with the eyes of the imagination, rediscovering the marvel and splendor of small things, with their mysteries and infinite beauty. It’s the greatest gift we could offer ourselves, more precious than any saved minute.
Everything can be contemplated with the profound eyes of the inter child; every small thing can appear great to those eyes.
